Rush Limbaugh’s biggest fans are women?!?!

You’d think that a sexist radio-host, with no integrity or moral compass that continually berates women, calls them sluts, and regularly refers to feminists as “feminazis,” would be a man that every women’s organization would shun, right? RIGHT?
Wrong. Time and time again one group has marched to the defense of Rush Limbaugh, and that group is the Independent Women’s Forum, or IWF. Turns out they have a soft spot for the misogynist Rush Limbaugh. That soft spot is right in their wallet.
According to “The Nation” they found tax documentation showing that Rush Limbaugh donated $273,000 in 2007 to the IWF. The author of the article was unable to discover how much more Limbaugh may have donated lately since IWF started cloaking their donations in 2009, filtering the contributions through a conservative donor fund, Donors Trust.
Limbaugh has repeatedly made extremely offensive remarks and the IWF has clamoured to his side. In 2007 Limbaugh called Iraq war veterans critical of the war and supported early withdrawal “phony soldiers.” As you can imagine this didn’t set well with a lot of people. But it sat just fine with IWF. The IWF accused the Democrats of of “tarring” Limbaugh, claiming “Certainly someone needs to apologize – but it isn’t Rush Limbaugh.
A former CEO of IWF, Michele Bernard, went on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal” in 2011 and called out Rush Limbaugh for his 2009 statement saying he “doesn’t want the president to succeed.” The IWF quickly responded with a statement defending Limbaugh’s remarks and emphasising that Bernard’s views did not reflect their own as she was no longer affiliated with IWF.
Limbaugh is so loathed that in 2011 even Fox News’ Gretchen Kelly called out Limbaugh for judging the Miss America Pageant when he’s been so widely recognized as someone that’s not been a supporter of women in the past. Again, IWF rushed to Limbaugh’s defense.
On February 29, 2012, Limbaugh really churned the waters when he called Georgetown Law School student, Sandra Fluke, a “slut” and a “prostitute” after she testified in front of a congressional committee, stressing the importance of insurance plans covering birth control.
You’d think after that the IWF would admonish Limbaugh for his words, but instead they went after Sandra Fluke, over and over again.
(editors note: Sandra Fluke is now running for State Senate in California.)
Shortly before Limbaugh brought Sandra Fluke to the attention of the nation, he commented on the fact that the IWF had referred to Limbaugh as a “Braveheart in a political sense.” He called the IWF the “alter ego of the feminazis” appreciating and wanting strong men, “They’re a good bunch of people.”
You’d have to wonder what the hell kind of women’s association would continually come to the aide of such a male chauvinist (regardless of having their pockets lined) until you realized the IWF was founded in 1992 as an organization that supported Judge Clarence Thomas against Anita Hill’s allegations of sexual harassment during his confirmation hearing.
Welp, there you have it.
You want to see something really scary? Watch the IWF video on their homepage below:

“IWF’s mission statement is to improve the lives of Americans by increasing the number of women who value free markets and personal liberty.”
IWF? More like WTF?
Did you hear about Rush Limbaugh’s children’s book… yeah… check THIS out…
