Lena gets naked and tweets about how her uncle makes her get naked then pulls the vagina card to get out of it. Any man would have had his career ended by a similar slip….
Lena Dunham is known for her sarcasm and outspoken nature, but even the “Girls” star realized she went too far with a joke she made on Twitter about molestation late Sunday night. After the actress appeared nude on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, a Twitter follower wrote her, saying, “You don’t always have to get naked!” Dunham jokingly replied, according to E!, “Please tell that to my uncle, mister. He’s been making me!”Almost immediately, the actress realized the joke crossed a line and she deleted the post and apologized.“I just made and deleted a not so great molestation joke. Sorry guys. I am really sleepy.”She went on to explain, “SNL has a way bigger audience than our usual cozy girls audience, so I was seeing a rash of very different kinds of twitter rage. But I should know better, and do. Even naked girls get embarrassed. Sleep well and thanks for an amazing weekend.”One user noted that Duham isn’t usually one to stay quiet during similar controversies.“I really don’t think you’d be cutting anyone else any slack if they made that joke and then blamed it on being ‘really sleepy,’” the user commented.Dunham replied that the joke would have been worse coming from a man.“Not if they were a fifty year old man. But by my lights women can have a lot of joke flexibility. Ya gotta get by in this world”
